Bella Hadid (Gigi‘s 19-year-old sister) just made her Chanel debut, walking for the first time in the luxury brand’s Métiers d’Art show in Rome.
Hadid wore a teased bouffant, heavy smoky-eye makeup, and two vampy, lace-and-leather outfits and walked alongside Chanel runway regulars including Lara Stone, Freja Beha Erichsen, and Lindsey Wixon.
Chanel’s Métiers d’Art show is always one of the French fashion brand’s biggest events each year, naturally attracting fashion’s buzziest names on and off the runway. Kristen Stewart sat front row this time around, alongside Rooney Mara and Chinese actress Zhou Xun.
Hadid shared pictures from the runway to commemorate the moment, captioning the first photo: “What a dream to walk my first @chanelofficial show in Rome today..thank you @karllagerfeld @aurelieduclos @annemarieleonie @imgmodels for making my dreams come true ❤️ I am as happy as can be!”
Obviously, walking for Chanel is a major boost to the younger Hadid sister’s career, but Bella’s no rookie—she’s been carving out a name for herself in the modeling industry. In fact, she dominated the runways at the Spring 2016 shows earlier this year and was booked by Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, DVF, Jeremy Scott, and more international designers.
